711 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he intends to implement new vehicle safety measures as outlined in the document, the Road to Safety; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24779/00]
The Government strategy for road safety set out actions to be taken between 1998 and 2002 to improve safety on our roads. Progress on these actions is set out in the first and second progress reports published in July 1999 and July 2000 respectively. Copies of the reports are available in the Oireachtas Library.
