Written Answers. - Medical Indemnity Scheme.
The introduction of enterprise liability as the basis for a new medical indemnity scheme for doctors employed in the public health service will be a complex process. I also anticipate that some aspects of the scheme will require legislation. The present target date for launching the scheme is 1 January 2002.
