Vol. 525 No. 2

Written Answers. - Student Support Schemes.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

852 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education and Science the support being provided in the classroom for a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24005/00]

My Department has no record of an application for special support for the pupil in question.

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to examine the needs of the child in question so that any special supports which may be required can be put in place.

As soon as the inspector's report has been considered, my Department will be in touch with the school authorities in this matter.
