Vol. 525 No. 4

Business of Dáil.

Before we commence business today I remind Members that when voting they must pass through the lobby in order to have their names recorded by the Clerk and be counted by the tellers. When a second vote is called immediately after a vote, Members who are on the wrong side of the barrier in the lobby in deference to their colleagues should go around to the centre lobby and proceed to vote from there.

They should be behind bars, not barriers.

That was not a very nice comment.

I ask Members for their co-operation in this matter to ensure voting is carried out in as efficient a manner as possible that does not cause inconvenience to Members.
