The responsibility for services at Beaumont Hospital now rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy. I have also asked to the regional chief executive to keep me informed of the position in relation to this matter in view of the health circumstances outlined by the Deputy.
