Question:91 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department is preparing a document on blood-borne diseases. [26165/00]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 90 and 91 together.
A technical report was published in 1999 and has been circulated to health agencies for their guidance in this area. Discussions are ongoing between my Department, the Health Service Employers Agency and the Irish Medical Organisation on the issues surrounding the transmission of blood-borne diseases.
