Question:102 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be approved and paid a carer's allowance. [26139/00]

The person concerned applied for carer's allowance on 10 October 2000.
On receipt of an application for carer's allowance, a comprehensive medical report must be completed in respect of the person being cared for. The necessary forms have issued to the person concerned and, on receipt of the completed forms, the claim will be considered and a decision will be made.
