415 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received an application from Midland Regional Youth Service (Mullingar) Grange, Mullingar, County West-meath, for an additional youth worker to help them achieve the targets they have set out in their ambitious programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The request to sanction an additional youth worker post in respect of the disadvantaged youth project referred to by the Deputy was considered by my Department but it was not found possible to accede to this request having regard to the large number of applications received for the provision of funding for such projects this year.
Application forms for the year 2001 have now issued to all administering agencies. This application together with other applications received will be considered in the context of the funds available for the scheme in 2001.
