429 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science if immediate sanction will be given to St. Brigid's national school, Coon, County Carlow, for temporary accommodation to allow construction and refurbishment works to commence at the school; when the temporary accommodation will be provided; the commencement date for the works and if he will ensure that the temporary accommodation will be on site before Christmas 2000. The consultant architect engaged on the extension project at St. Brigid's national school has approached the Department with a view to providing temporary accommodation at the school. Officials in the primary building unit of my Department will contact the school authorities regarding the matter. It is envisaged that works on the extension project will commence shortly.
