Vol. 526 No. 4

Written Answers. - Rail Services.

Liz McManus

Question:

217 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Public Enterprise when the Bray to Greystones route will have a full DART service in view of the great need of commuters living in Greystones; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26844/00]

I understand from Iarnród Éireann that, following negotiations between the unions and the company over this past weekend under the auspices of the Labour Court, the Labour Court has issued a recommendation on the industrial relations issues impeding the introduction of a full DART service between Greystones and Malahide. The recommendation is being put to a vote of drivers this Friday. If the recommendation is accepted, the company will implement improvements in the DART service within the following fortnight.
