Question:

121 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have investigations made into the case of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin who wishes to place her son in a national school in Lucan for the school year starting in September 2001 and has approached all local schools without success; and if he will request his officials to liaise with this person and the schools with a view to reaching an accommodation. [27146/00]

My Department had no prior knowledge of this matter. However, I am arranging to have my officials inquire into the issue raised by the Deputy and to communicate the results of those inquiries directly to him.
