Question:

100 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance if persons earning less than £220 per week are exempt from both the 2% health levy and the 4.5% social insurance contribution. [28141/00]

The Deputy is correct in assuming that a person earning less than £220 per week is exempt from both the 2% health levy and the 4.5% social insurance contribution, PRSI.
