Written Answers. - State Examinations.

Michael Ring

Question:

152 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) formerly from County Mayo, was given a result for the Gaeilge subject in the junior certificate although she never took that subject examination; and if he investigate the matter. [28096/00]

A statement of junior certificate examination results was issued to the person concerned on 13 July last. This statement has been verified as a true copy of examination results held in my Department in respect of the person concerned for the year 1961. It is open to the person concerned to view the original records of her examination results. The examinations branch of my Department in Athlone will be glad to facilitate her if she wishes to do so.
