126 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Finance if he will have an interim report/statement made available on the progress to date with regard to the pensions commission review for public service, retired pensioners with special grade status (details supplied). [29874/00]
I have recently received the final report of the Commission on Public Service Pensions, and am currently making arrangements for its publication. The Government intends to make formal decisions on the commission's recommendations once it has had an opportunity to consider the report in detail, and it will assess the possible implications for public service groups and for pensioners in that context.
