Question:

130 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance if a final decision has been made with regard to the decentralisation of the remainder of the Land Registry Office to County Waterford and part of the Office of Public Works to Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29854/00]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 129 and 130 together.

Much progress has been made in my Department in relation to many of the issues relating to a new programme of decentralisation and I expect that the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Decentralisation will shortly begin its deliberations with a view to bringing proposals to the Government for consideration and decision early in the new year. In the meantime no final decisions have been taken in relation to the new programme.
