Vol. 528 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Willie Penrose

Question:

115 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason persons (details supplied) in County Tipperary were not paid their headage and slaughter premium; the reason for the delay; if the difficulties will be resolved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29936/00]

In this case an application for 36 animals under the 2000 cattle headage scheme was made on 11 May 2000.

Under the regulations governing the schemes it is a requirement that all checks are completed before payment issues. An on field inspection on was carried out on 7 December 2000. The claim is currently being finalised and provided all checks are in order entitlements under the 2000 cattle headage scheme and slaughter premium scheme will issue at an early date.
