Vol. 528 No. 3

Written Answers. - Radio Stations.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

35 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to concerns expressed with regard to the proposed take-over by a company (details supplied) of a Cork based radio group; her plans to review the legislative framework governing ownership of radio stations; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29993/00]

I have no function in the matter raised by the Deputy. The selection of sound broadcasting contractors and the owners of radio stations are matters for the Independent Radio and Television Commission.
