Question:

368 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of farmers in each of the six western counties who are barred from buying or leasing sheep quota until the framework documents are completed giving details on a county by county basis. [1198/01]

The numbers of farmers in the six western counties concerned who are currently precluded from buying or leasing sheep quota are as follows:

When commonage framework plans are available the position of farmers in regard to quota will depend on the individual framework plans.
