376 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) and waive all penalties applicable; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1298/01]

On 8 January 2001 an appeal was lodged on behalf of the person named with the national REPS appeals committee. The committee will consider his appeal in due course. The national REPS appeals committee is an independent body whose decision is final.
