Question:

381 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when an appeal for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be finalised. [1314/01]

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 20 November 2000 concerning her 2000 cattle headage and suckler cow premium application. Appeals require individual examination and are dealt with in the order in which they are received. This appeal will be examined shortly and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.

382 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received cattle and sheep headage payments for 2000. [1343/01]

The 2000 area aid application for the person named has been fully processed with no outstanding errors and the area for payment purposes has been determined at 94.20 hectares. Any payments due will issue as soon as possible.
