435 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will make a statement on his proposals to facilitate farm partnerships; if he proposes to facilitate this by way of primary or secondary legislation; and the limitations on scale which he is considering in this regard. [2310/01]
I made provision for partnerships involving milk producers in the new milk quota regulations and this measure will be introduced on a pilot basis initially and will be subject to a detailed review after 12 months. The detailed rules for these partnerships will be put in place by way of a statutory instrument and the drafting of this statutory instrument has commenced. The provision will be in place for the beginning of the new milk quota year.
