Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Drainage Works.

Seamus Kirk

Question:

489 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works will resume responsibility for drainage remedial works on the River Fane; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1938/01]

The River Fane does not form part of a catchment for which the Commissioners of Public Works have responsibility for maintenance. Part of the catchment lies within the Fane drainage district, maintenance of which is the responsibility of Louth County Council. The commissioners have no proposals for taking over responsibility for this drainage district.
