Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

505 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the position in relation to the tax free allowance application for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2427/01]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the name of the person who is the subject of the Deputy's question does not appear on Revenue records, nor is there any record of the application to which the Deputy refers. I understand that the personal taxation unit in Revenue has been in contact with the Deputy with a view to establishing the identity of the person so that the position regarding his tax-free allowances can be clarified.
