Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Michael Ring

Question:

557 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of health board regions which request a contribution from applicants for the special housing aid for the elderly scheme; and the way in which the contribution rate is calculated. [1223/01]

As the Deputy will be aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly is administered by the health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority, on behalf of the Department of Environment and Local Government. As the information sought is not available in my Department, I have asked the chief executive officer of each health board and the Eastern Regional Health Authority to reply directly to the Deputy giving the required information.

Question No. 558 answered with Question No. 544.
