Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Health Board Staff.

Michael Ring

Question:

563 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of press officers employed by the Western Health Board; the areas to which they are assigned, the persons to whom they are assigned; and the number of people that deal specifically with the press within the Western Health Board. [1229/01]

Michael Ring

Question:

564 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if an assistant press officer has been appointed to the Western Health Board; if interviews have been held; if the appointment was made; and if so, the annual salary plus expenses. [1230/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 563 and 564 together.

Recruitment of staff and personnel-related matters of the type raised by the Deputy are a matter for the employing agency, in this case the Western Health Board. I have referred the matter to the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board for direct reply to the Deputy.
