Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

572 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo can be called as a matter of urgency for a cataract operation rather than waiting until October 2002. [1239/01]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo is, in this instance, the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
