Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Doctors.

Bernard Allen

Question:

604 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the outstanding issues in relation to junior doctors; and if he has met the Irish Medical Organisation on this issue recently. [1396/01]

I met the Irish Medical Organisation in December 2000 to discuss the implementation of the non-consultant hospital doctors' agreement. A broad range of issues are being implemented on foot of this agreement, some of which are already in place and others which are at various stages of finalisation. The implementation programme is continuing on an ongoing basis.
