Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dermatology Service.

Tony Gregory

Question:

639 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason there is no dermatologist available in the Children's Hospital, Temple Street, Dublin 1; and if his Department can assist the hospital in the provision of this service. [1628/01]

Responsibility for the funding of services at the Children's Hospital, Temple Street is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and any proposal to increase the number of consultant medical staff at the hospital falls to be considered by the authority. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
