Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Pharmacy Licence.

Michael Noonan

Question:

658 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Health and Children when he will make a decision on an appeal by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick against a decision by the Mid-Western Health Board not to licence a new pharmacy at Castletroy, County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1723/01]

The decision of the chief executive officer of the MWHB to refuse the application for a community pharmacy contractor referred to by the Deputy has been appealed to me under the Health (Community Pharmacy Contractor Agreement) Regulations, 1996. I have directed the chief executive officer to reconsider his decision in the light of new information provided by the appellant.
