Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Physiotherapy Services.

Michael Ring

Question:

738 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a pilot physiotherapy scheme (details supplied) operating in County Mayo since September 2000 can be continued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2452/01]

The provision of physiotherapy services in County Mayo is the responsibility of the Western Health Board and, accordingly, a pilot physiotherapy scheme in operation in that county is solely a matter for the board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board, with a request that she examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
