Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard Allen

Question:

740 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been waiting for over nine months to be called for surgery to be carried out at the South Infirmary Cork for an ear condition. [2454/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the scheduling of admissions to hospitals is a matter for the relevant hospital concerned based on clinical priority.

My Department has asked the chief executive at the South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital, which has responsibility for the provision of services in the case to which the Deputy is referring, to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
