Question:

812 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will make a decision immediately on Fingal County Council's new scheme of letting for housing as lack of decision and approval is holding up the revision of the waiting list which was due in October 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1520/01]

Question:

818 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has approved a new house letting scheme submitted by Fingal County Council in 2000; and if not, if he will arrange to do so immediately as the allocation of houses is being held up as a result. [1654/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 760, 812 and 818 together.

Fingal County Council submitted a fundamentally revised scheme of letting priorities for my approval on 20 November 2000 and a report on the extent and impact of the proposed changes was received in my Department on 23 December 2000. A meeting was held recently between my Department and the local authority to discuss the revised scheme and a decision on the matter will be made shortly.
