Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

John McGuinness

Question:

1029 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress in relation to an appeal by a person (details supplied) for a visa; and if he will expedite the application. [1519/01]

The appeal in question has been examined by the Visa Appeals Officer in my Department. The original decision to refuse the application has been upheld as the appeal did not adequately address the concerns expressed by my Department in respect of the original application and which were set out in my response to the Deputy in Parliamentary Question No. 784 on 7 November 2000.
