1039 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will intervene, with the Land Registry office on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo and expedite his registration application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1791/01]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to an application under section 49 – that is, acquisition of title by virtue of long possession – of the Registration of Title Act, 1964 which was lodged on 24 May 2000. Dealing No. D2000SM004690J refers.
I understand that, due to their complicated nature, applications of claims for registration as owners under section 49, require detailed examination and can take some time to process. Accordingly, it is not possible to estimate a completion date at this stage.
