1243 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in sanctioning renovation and upgrading works for a school (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2030/01]
Documentation relating to this project is currently being examined. My Department will be in touch with the school authorities as soon as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects currently being processed.

Architectural planning for the project referred to by the Deputy is under way at present. However, in view of the large number of school building projects currently being processed by my Department, it is not possible at this point to give any indication as to the timetable for the provision of the facilities. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
