168 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if action can be taken where a contractor takes deposits for work but either does not complete the work or does incomplete work as outlined in a newspaper article (details supplied). [1883/01]

I understand that the question of booking deposits was addressed in a recent report by the Law Reform Commission and that the Department of the Environment and Local Government is considering the appropriate response to the recommendation in the report.
