121 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be notified of an appointment for a prostate gland operation; and when the person will be notified of an appointment to have eye surgery, both at Tallaght Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2664/01]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Kildare is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
