125 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children when the fitting out, equipping and staffing of phase 2B of Longford-Westmeath General Hospital will commence; if the other additional facilities will also be provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2668/01]
A submission from the Midland Health Board concerning the phase 2B development at Longford-Westmeath General Hospital, as well as further correspondence from the board proposing additional facilities to be included in the development, have been received in my Department. These are currently under consideration.
I hope to be in a position to respond to the board's submissions in the near future.
