John Perry

Question:

155 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is no fire alarm system or fire extinguishers in St. John's National School, Ballisodare, County Sligo which was refurbished and officially opened in November 1999; if he has received the snag list of incomplete work which is to be compiled by the engineer in charge of electrical and mechanical contracts; the exact date of commencement of this work; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2831/01]

My Department's building unit has recently received a snag list from the management authorities of St. John's National School, Ballisodare, County Sligo.

This matter will be attended to as soon as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects being processed by my Department.

The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
