I propose to take Questions Nos. 82 and 83 together.

Since the establishment of the Department of Enterprise and Employment in 1993, the following are the figures for promotion to assistant principal from the higher executive officer grade. The figures do not take into account promotions to other Departments via interdepartmental competitions.

The Department had three administrative officers serving in the Department from 1993 to 1995, four in 1996 and five serving in 1997. One administrative officer was promoted to assistant principal in 1996. Figures for 1988 to 1992 are not available.
