Vol. 530 No. 1

Written Answers. - Drug Treatment Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

116 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the assistance his Department will give to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who is seeking treatment for her son (details supplied) at Aislinn, Ballyragget, County Kilkenny; if the South Eastern Health Board will offer funding towards the cost of this treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3286/01]

The provision of drug treatment services in County Kilkenny is the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. However, the South Eastern Health Board has informed me that the person in question has completed a treatment programme at the Aislinn Centre, with the assistance of the South Eastern Health Board, and is in aftercare.
