Vol. 531 No. 1

Written Answers. - Private Petitions.

Beverley Flynn

Question:

152 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a decision was made on a petition, details supplied, which was lodged in 1995. [5046/01]

A decision to refuse the petition in question was made on 30 November 1999. However, due to an administrative oversight, the letter conveying the decision to the Deputy who had submitted the petition, referred to a person of the same name with a similar address on whose behalf a separate and unrelated petition had been made.

A further letter clarifying the position will issue to the Deputy in question shortly.
