153 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position in connection with his proposals to provide for the registration and licensing of bouncers at night clubs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5047/01]
I am glad to inform the Deputy that my proposals on the subject matter of his question are contained in the Private Security Services Bill, 2001. The Bill was presented to the House on 2 January and it gives effect to the recommendations contained in the report of the Consultative Group on the Private Security Industry.
I look forward to debate on the Bill.
