31 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the progress made regarding the further recommendation that a music board should be established to promote and develop the indigenous music industry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4800/01]
The Music Board of Ireland is being established in partnership with the music industry represented by IBEC. Agreement in principle has been reached between IBEC and my Department with regard to the terms of reference and operation of a non-statutory music board and I hope to be in a position to formally establish the board in the near future.
