Vol. 531 No. 1

Written Answers. - Civil Service Recruitment.

John Perry

Question:

83 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if he will intervene with the Civil Service on behalf of a person (details supplied) and have her offered employment in Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5050/01]

The person in question has been offered an assignment to the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs as a result of a competition for vacancies in the Dublin area. The Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs is not in a position to offer her an appointment initially to Sligo. However, if she accepts the appointment to Dublin, she may, on taking up duty, apply for consideration for transfer to Sligo at a later stage whenever her placing on the relevant transfer list is reached.
