117 Mr. Coveney asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he plans to be out of the country for St. Patrick's Day 2001; if so, the location to which he will be going; and the length of time he will be out of the country. [6090/01]
I will pay an official visit to Australia at the invitation of Foreign Minister Alexander Downer during the St. Patrick's Day period. The programme for the visit has not yet been finalised, but will take place over a number of days and include a series of meetings and events in Canberra and Sydney. This visit was originally to have taken place earlier this month, but was postponed because of the ongoing discussions on the peace process.
