196 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 342 of 20 February 2001, she will state the number of hectares of special areas of conservation designated bog which Bord na Móna has sold or transferred to Dúchas; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Bórd na Móna has sold or transferred 3,406 hectares of peatland to my Department. Most of this land is included in either candidate special areas of conservation or proposed natural heritage areas.
