Adjournment Debate Matters.

Following is a list of the matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 which were received by the Ceann Comhairle: (1) Deputy Naughten – the need for the Minister for Health and Children to extend the scope of his announcement regarding batch 3741 Trivax vaccine to cover other batches of the vaccine which have given rise to the same level of concern regarding their toxicity; (2) Deputy Deenihan – the need to provide a new Garda station at Castleisland, County Kerry; (3) Deputy Healy – the steps the Minister intends to take to end the daily overcrowding at St. Joseph's Hospital, Clonmel and the resultant treatment of acutely ill medical patients on the hospital corridors; (4) Deputy Timmins – the need to outline the recommendations made by Deloitte & Touche and the Minister can confirm if there is a proposal that stations with fewer than four gardaí should be closed; (5) Deputy Browne (Wexford) – the need to outline the reason for the delay in the appointment of a director of services to the outreach third level facility in St. Peter's College, Wexford; (6) Deputy Keaveney – the need to expedite the upgrading of the Garda station in Muff, to provide proper communication resources and to review the numbers of personnel located at border towns; (7) Deputy Ring – when the Minister will sanction funding for the extension of a primary school in County Mayo; and make a full statement on this matter; (8) Deputy Creed – the need for the Minister to intervene with the authorities at Tallaght Institute of Technology to ensure that changes to the marketing and languages course are minimised and introduced so as to affect only students who enrol in the course after September 2000; (9) Deputy Upton – the need to provide additional teachers to the Assumption Senior Girl's School, Walkinstown, Dublin 12, on the basis of the school's disadvantaged status.

The matters raised by Deputies Creed, Healy, Timmins and Keaveney have been selected for discussion.
