Vol. 532 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

144 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will request the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11, if he will ask the Eastern Regional Health Authority if the problem is one of hospital capacity, funding or other reasons, in order that extra provision can be made in 2001 by his Department to address this waiting list and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7128/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in Counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to her directly.
