Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Departmental Offices.

Denis Naughten

Question:

229 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development whether his Departments offices at Circular Road, Roscommon, comply with occupational and safety standards; the measures he plans to put in place to meet these standards until the staff move to new offices in two years time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7688/01]

Following discussions with my Department, the Office of Public Works is actively working on the provision of new accommodation for my Department's staff in Roscommon town. The maintenance of the Circular Road building has continued. The safety statement for the building has been reviewed and a draft of a safety statement is being finalised.
